Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MOHFW) issues guidelines for notifying COVID-19 affected patients by Private Institutions and Quarantine facilities. These guidelines by the government prescribe a comprehensive method of prevention and timely separation of affected patients. As per the guidelines it is utmost important that each case (suspects/confirmed) of COVID-19 is isolated and provided appropriate treatment and their contacts are traced at the earliest to break the chain of transmission and private sector engagement is imperative.

The Central government has released an order to regulate the production, quality, distribution, logistics of masks and hand sanitizers by placing them under the Essential Commodities Act, 1955.
